Lonely evenings

Dave started taking night classes a couple of weeks ago. On school nights he spends about 35 minutes with us, he eats a quick dinner, then he is out the door. I am usually asleep when he gets home, as are the kids. I miss him on these nights, even with five kids in the house, I find myself feeling lonely.

Ya, I used to look forward to 'Daddy' coming home at the end of the day not only to relieve me, but so that I can have some adult conversation.
What about making that night library night for you and the kids?

I can relate. My husband does shift work, and those night can suck.

But, I try and plan something for myself when he's gone, those are the best nights. I'll putter around my room, strightening it up, do a face mask, read, and sometimes with glass of wine and good music.

Make those a date night with yourself.

It worls for me.
